Star Program
When our students are doing well in life, we reward them. The Star Program is one of our systems of reward that we use. |
The Yellow Star is given to students who are training hard and trying their best in our martial art classes |
The Red Star is given to students who are getting good grades or if their grades in school have improved. |
The Green Star is given when students are doing well at home. Every 4 months, parents will receive a student evaluation home questionnaire. The parents will decide whether the student will receive this star. |
The Blue Star is given to students who support our martial art program through our Sponsorship Program. |

Good Attitude Stripe
Here at Martial Arts and Beyond, we believe that our students should always have self-control, especially when it comes to respect. One way of making sure that our students are always abedient and respectful to parents, siblings and guests of the family as well as teachers, we have created what we call the Good Attitude Stripe. This stripe will go around the student's belt and as long as they maintained a good attitude, the stripe will stay on. When the student becomes disrespectful and disobedient, parents, martial art instructors, and gaurdians may take the stripe away. If the student should ever lose his or her Good Attitude Stripe they will have one week to improve their attitude. When their attitude has improved they will be given the stripe back. The Good Attitude Stripe is needed to attend all special events of the Martial Art School as well as any belt promotion or graduation. |
Grades and Promotion
Doing well at home and in school is required at Martial jArts and Beyond before any of our students are promoted to their next rank. A for must be signed by a guardian and teacher before the student is eligible to be promoted to their next rank. Students will be given the form in advance to the promotion date, so the student will have time to have the form completed and returned in a timely manner. | |
At the beginning of all martial art lessons, all students must recite the Tenets of Tae Kwon Do. The Tenets of Tae Kwon Do will help stude3nts remember why they are learning martial arts and the meaning of practicing martial arts.
